About Me
My name is Greg, and I love wine. I have been a member of several different wine clubs over the years and have found that the quality level of wine clubs can vary dramatically. Given this inconsistency, I thought it would be helpful to create a buyers guide for wine clubs. Wine Club Reviews is website that is meant to be helpful for those who are considering joining a wine club.
There are two major types of wines clubs. The first type of wine club is a winery wine club, which is a wine club run by a specific winery. A winery wine club will typically only ship you wines from the winery who is running the club. Shipment after shipment you receive wines from just one winery. This is great if you really like wines from that specific winery. My website does not review winery wine clubs.
The second type of wine club is a what I refer to as an exploratory wine club. Typically, an exploratory wine club is not affiliated with one winery. Rather an exploratory wine club features wines from many different wineries, wine regions, and winemakers. In effect, an exploratory wine club allows you the opportunity to sample or explore many different wines and wine styles. Wine Club Reviews focuses on evaluating and recommending various exploratory wine clubs.
For the purposes of this website, I have reviewed and recommended wine clubs that ship to a great majority of the states within the United States. Some wine clubs ship to more states than others, the reason for that is regulations, laws, and other things that are a bit too boring to go into. Additionally, there many local or regional wine clubs, but given the reach of this website I choose to recommend those wine clubs with the widest distribution coverage.
Finally, please note that I may receive a small commission from some of the wine clubs featured on this site when and if a person joins one of their wine clubs.
Cheers!
Greg
